Transfer Domain
To transfer a .uk domain to use under British NIC is easy if you follow the steps below.
First of all you must already have a British NIC account (if you don't have one, please sign-up for an account), when you're transferring a domain name all you need to do is let us know what name you plan to move over to British NIC.
If the domain name company your are moving from has a customer control panel or a request form for moving domain names, you should first try moving your domain name using this option otherwise you will need to make a letter/fax to send to your current domain name company, this letter/fax will have your domain listed the tag it's moving to and your name address at the top of the letter. If it's a company you will need to send in company letter headed paper. The IPSTAG for British NIC is "BRITISHNIC" all upper case. More instructions on what to do can be found in the Customer Control Area.
If the domain name company your moving from is out of business or will not do the move for you then you should contact Nominet UK, they will need to get a letter or a fax from you and will then do the move to us for you.
Once you have done these steps, your domain will be fully active in the British NIC Customer Control Area.
We do not charge to transfer "in" .uk domain names, and we will never charge to transfer "out" a .uk domain name away from our service, this can be done via your customer control panel.
The price quoted includes all registration fees for Nominet, domain server updates at Nominet, parking and re-delegation of TAG to another ISP's. You have nothing else to pay to secure your chosen domain name. Other services available on request. All prices inc. VAT - no hidden charges.
